David Katz is the Principal in charge of the asset management division of WeiserMazars Wealth Advisors LLC. Mr. Katz has over 20 years experience in the field of Wealth Management. During his tenure on Wall Street, he has developed and implemented sophisticated asset management plans for affluent families, corporations, non-profit organizations, foundations and endowment funds. With his high level of experience, he has created and supervised highly customized traditional and non-traditional asset allocation strategies, using a broad range of equity, fixed income and alternative investment solutions.

Prior to joining WMWA, David served as Vice President-Investments/Portfolio Manager in the Private Client Division at Smith Barney, where he was directly responsible for over $1 billion of client assets. While with Smith Barney he sat on their Presidents’ Council, Executive Council, Blue Chip Council and Citi-mortgage Advisory Council. In addition, he spent the first 5 years of his career managing a Municipal Bond trading desk for Oppenheimer & Company’s midtown Manhattan office.

David is often quoted in major financial publications such as Wall Street Journal, Smart Money, MSNBC, and Long Island Business News. He is a regular guest on CNBC Closing Bell and CNBC Squawk Box Asia and often appears on Fox Business News. David holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Lehigh University. David lives on Long Island with his wife Cheryl and two daughters Sydney and Casey.
